Environmental protection is considered an integral part of our daily routine. We are creating a sustainable production system friendly to natural sources and without impacts on the surroundings. The basic company environmental principles and directions are expressed in the Company Principles of Health and Safety at Work and Environmental Protection. areas:
By means of technological processes improvements and using effective emission reduction facilities we reduce the volume of emissions. We operate highly effective steam boilers with guaranteed emission limits. 90% of our energy needs are covered by natural gas. We keep our legal duties concerning reduction of greenhouse gases production.
We have our own advanced wastewater treatment plant with a good standard of outlet parameters. In this plant we also treat wastewaters from neighboring companies Akzo Nobel Coatings a.s. and Komas s.r.o.
We apply procedures that significantly reduce the volume of waste. Wastes produced are carefully sorted and most of them are recycled. Natural waste products are recycled in a compost plant. We are a part of the associated system of packaging material recycling performed by the authorized company EKO-KOM, a.s.
Declaration of Compliance with the Packaging Act and EU Directive on Packaging and Packaging Wastes.
The company has implemented the Serious Accidents Prevention System (SEVESO law) based on possible serious accidents risk assessment and provisions for the prevention the risks. The company management declared its readiness to provide necessary sources for the correct functioning of this system in the public document, Serious Accidents Prevention Policy.
The equipment that we operate is limited by the Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Act. On these grounds our processes and operations have to satisfy strict demands for environmental protection. We acquired Integrated Permission in 2006.
